Water Saving Toilet Flush

ld mind-set of using FIXED volumes of water to flush away, what we all know to be, VARIABLE amounts of waste (two year old child, sumo wrestler). The most familiar of these fixed volume methods or devices and their water savings are: - Lowering the cistern water level by adjusting the ball float inlet valve, about 10%; Bricks, bottles and hippo bags, 11%; Cistern dams, 11%; Inlet valve delays, 11%; Dual-flush toilets, 27%; Triple-flush toilets with low, medium and high flush settings on the flush handle, 24%. The 47% savings of the 選nterflush' makes all these methods obsolete. The 選nterflush' also eliminates double flushing because the cistern water level can now be re-set to it's original level, the one the pan was designed for. Blocked drain lines are similarly eliminated, the 選nterflush' providing a guaranteed trailing volume. The 選nterflush' is a kit which fits on top of plastic WC siphons and connects to the flush handle spindle, on toilets with front mounted flush handles, which is over 90% of toilets. It enables the user to stop the flush just as soon as the pan is clear and so by not wasting any water whatsoever, it saves 47% of the flushing water, the maximum possible. That is why nothing can beat the 選nterflush' for water, money and environmental savings. It's operation is simplicity itself, press the handle as normal to start the flush but then HOLD DOWN to continue flushing, which maintains an air seal on top of the siphon; releasing the handle just as soon as the pan is clear opens the air seal which breaks the siphonic action to stop the flush. All in ONE hand operation. If a new user forgets to hold the handle down, it stops flushing, which reminds the user of the change in flush operation. In this respect it is self-teaching, no confusing operating procedures to remember, no memory skills required. A kit, which fixes on top of existing plastic WC siphons and connects to the front mounted flush handle. You don't even have to turn the water off! A competent person can fit it in less than 30 minutes. There are other environmental benefits to saving water. Research from Sheffield university shows that for each cubic metre of water delivered and disposed of consumes almost one kWh of electricity in pumping and treatment, which produces almost half a kilogram of carbon dioxide emissions. Even taking a cold bath is the same as leaving a one bar electric fire on for an hour.
