Stirrup irons
These stainless steel stirrup irons are produced using a unique method of casting producing burrless irons which are the hallmark of stubben function and beauty. For safety reasons, stirrups should be heavy, wide and high. A heavy stirrup ensures the rider will easily be able to recover the stirrup if their foot slips out. A wide and somewhat high stirrup gives plenty of clearance and does not catch in the event of a fall. The shape of the stirrup can also influence a rider leg position. Offset fillis irons = these assist in placing the riders knee against the saddle. Double offset irons = these not only assist in placing the riders knee against the saddle but also position the heel down. All sets come complete with rubber treads. Fillis irons = all fillis irons feature a weighted bottom, allowing ease in recovering a lost stirrup. Prussian style = a lightweight stirrup with thinner bottoms and flatter sides.
