Spikenard is a very ancient and sacred oil. Cherished by the ancient Egyptians and used by wealthy Roman women in perfumes and beauty preparations, it was considered the fragrance of love and also thought to have deep mystical powers. It is mentioned in the Bible, in Song of Solomon, and in the Book of John where Mary of Bethany used it to anoint the feet of Jesus.

Excellent for nourishing mature skin, cooling and soothing overheated skin and in particular comforting and relaxing during menstruation.
