Peppermint oil has been used as a tonic for centuries, and its fresh aroma is evident in toothpastes and mouthwashes today.

The aroma can also help to cool feelings of anger, hysteria or emotional burnout. It can also act as a mental stimulant - good to use when studying (but not last thing at night).

Soothing and comforting when massaged in a clockwise direcitons on the tummy - dont forget to dilute 5% in a base oil.

Useful in foot bath (not more than 3 drops) to cool and deodorise feet. Also good for itchy skin (only one drop in bath).

Maintains healthy airways when used through steam inhalation. Good to use in conjunction with Lavender and Marjoram during the cold winter months, either in massage or vapourised.

Useful deterrent to vermin e.g. mice, rats, ants and cockroaches, especially when combined with Eucalyptus.

Peppermint oil is steam-distilled from the flowering tops and leaves of this perennial herb.
