When we introduced our 42-15142-P we were unaware that any had been made in russet horsehide, that is until we found two original 42-15142-P's in smooth Russet Horsehide, a jacket previously unknown and very rare. These jackets were also in reasonably smooth horse considering their age, so we have now added our smooth horsehide to the list of options for our remake of the Aero 42-15142-P. Of course this jacket is exactly as the original, same label, identical Pale Mustard 100% Cotton lining, identical 100% wool knitted parts, olive Drab 100% heavy duty thread and is cut from the original WWII patterns. This jacket is fitted with a Triple Marked Talon with Art Deco Box in choice of Nickel or Antique Brass (State Preference, if any, in Specials Box on the shopping cart.) A deadstock WWII zip is still available as an option while stocks last, adds £50 to the price of the jacket. Available with or without an AAF Decal these A2's look like an exceptionally preserved WWII, but will take longer to wear in than our Jerky Horsehide. This is a jacket to treat roughly, however, just like every other Aero. The harder they are treated the better they look.
