Auctioneers to the Official Receiver, the High Court Enforcement Office, County Courts, Constabulary, County Council, Baliffs, Executors, Trustees and others.
We started trading in 1993 as an independent estate agent and through hard work together with two company acquisitions has become the only firm in Ipswich to provide a truly comprehensive estate agency and auctioneering service.
The business is proud to be known as a family business. Headed by Tim Golding, whose first job in estate agency was as an office junior in 1980, he is joined by his wife Lorraine who has an eye for the methodical, systematic, element which complements his experience, enthusiasm and drive.
Having established the business over the first five years of trading as a innovative new estate agency the acquisition of Gerald Benjamin Estate Agents, who had been trading for over 100 years, in the spring of 1998 immediately added depth and stability to the firm.
In the spring of 2001 Auctioneers was formed and the first dedicated property auction was held which proved a phenomenal success. Having identified this potential now hold regular quarterly property auctions serving and North Essex with buyers regularly travelling from all over the country to bid.
When the opportunity arose in the summer of 2002 to acquire the long established firm of Websters Auctioneers it was quickly seized as it complemented the existing core business. Since then the General Auction business has gone from strength to strength and we are delighted to have maintained all the contacts and customers established by Websters over their 50 years of trading including clients such as the Official Receiver, the High Court Enforcement Office and various liquidators and receivers etc.
The final link in the chain has been to bring both business together under one roof with a new corporate trading style of .uk. 2005 saw the opening of the stunning new premises in the centre of Ipswich providing a landmark location for both the estate agency and auction room. The redevelopment of the derelict former Grey Green coach station took months of planning and now provides what we believe to be one of the finest facilities of this type in the area.
