We are recognized as one of the leading provincial auction houses in the United Kingdom. Our regular sales of antiques, pictures, books and collectables are well attended by buyers from throughout Britain and from abroad.
We pride ourselves on our professional yet personal service offered to all of our customers. Our Fine Art Valuation team are extremely knowledgeable within their respective fields, and are always willing to give advice on sale - either at the Salerooms or in the comfort of your own home.
Antiques
Our Antique Sales are held every three weeks over two days, usually Tuesday and Wednesday, including antique and reproduction furniture, porcelain, pottery, silver and plate, glassware, jewellery and collector’s items which are listed in a catalogue which is available prior to the sale. Catalogues are available in hard copy or online. Approx 1400 plus lots.
Pictures
Sales of paintings including oils, prints and watercolors are held every two months on a Friday. The items are catalogued and there are normally about 1000 lots.

Books
Also held bi-monthly on a Friday, these popular book sales include children’s interest, fiction (including first editions), topography, ornithology and history. Catalogue available. (1,000 lots). A separate sale of boxed books is held every two months on the next Monday following a book sale (approx 250 lots).
Collectables
There is an ever-growing interest in our bi-monthly collectors sales held on a Thursday. There are many interesting lots including toys & games, fountain pens, musical boxes, Dinky cars, dolls, maps, postcards, radios and gramophones and many unusual and collectable items. (1,000 lots).

Special sales

Valuation Services
We also conduct valuations of complete house contents or single items for probate, insurance or other purposes, at competitive rates.

The thriving weekly market at Aylsham, established as a poultry market in 1953, continues to attract visitors by the score, in the hope of finding a bargain amongst the 2000 plus lots sold each and every week.
