Our auction rooms have recently secured the services of Lancaster and Morecambe based auctioneer and valuer.
Tony will be carrying out appraisals in the Lancashire area, advising clients on goods they are considering putting forward for sale, their value and how this may be achieved. As with the rest of our valuation team he is also able to advice on house clearances in addition to carrying out professional valuations for probate, taxation, division and insurance. Tony will also play an active role on the rostrum and will hopefully make his debut on 23 August.
Tony is the second appointment this year with Furness based David Brookes joining us in January to service Furness and The Lakes and also develop our fine arts sales.
Our Auction Rooms has been operating under the management of Kevin Kendal since March 2003 and has seen its turnover treble in this period increasing not only the number of sales but also the quality of goods coming forward. The saleroom, just off Sandylands Road, is based within the main auction complex at the northern edge of Kendal. Over the last couple of years a continuous period of refurbishment has been undertaken to provide a comfortable and convenient facility in this former industrial building.
Many items relating to our work are seen throughout the salerooms’ year, be these original paintings, books, prints or inspired items such as the Famous Beswick and Border Fine Arts character figurines from the Beatrix Potter story books.
