Jewellery and Watches Auctioneer
Over the past 30 years, we have developed into one of Hampshire’s principal independent professional fine art auctioneers. Our origins as a professional family run firm of auctioneer’s dates back to 1793.
Our auction department was re-structured in 2000 to provide central Hampshire with a permanent professional auction saleroom. Consequently we expanded our quarterly fine art picture auctions into regular antique auctions combining fine art, silver and jewellery, ceramics and glassware, clocks, furniture, rugs, collectables and ephemera
We are well established in a permanent saleroom in Itchen stoke, five miles east of Winchester. Our auction saleroom and offices comprise a renovated grade ii listed brick and flint barn set in rolling Hampshire countryside and provides plenty of free parking and a café open on viewing and sale days. Our location, whilst rural, is well placed for fast road links using the main a31/a32/m3/m4 and m27 routes and provides a convenient alternative to urban based auctioneers. With our location, extensive advertising and worldwide internet exposure, our sales attract large attendances and realize healthy prices, with record prices achieved in some cases.
We hold monthly antiques auctions offering a wide range of items from early oak and country furniture, Georgian and Victorian furniture, eighteenth and nineteenth century paintings and ceramics through to mid twentieth century collectables such as Clarice cliff, toys, silver, jewellery, glassware, clocks and militaria.
We also hold regular evening sales of Victorian, Edwardian and later furniture, ceramics and collectable items. Prices in these sales range from several pounds to several thousand. For many people this has become a highlight of the month
We are located in a Victorian brick and flint barn, just off the b3047 on the east side of the village of Itchen stoke, near Alresford, Hampshire.
