Computers and IT Equipment Auctioneer
Bidding Tips Look before you buy
All lots are set out for viewing well before bidding starts. You can check out the condition of the item and see what accessories are included. Many PCs are set up working so you can put them through their paces.
Warranty
We are the only computer auction company that offers a fail-safe warranty for your peace of mind:
Low prices
Many items in our sales come from bankruptcy or overstock clearances. You can pick up brand new and nearly new computers, printers, software and peripherals at up to 50 percent or more less than shop prices, depending on the value of bids on the day.
Bid early
If you’re new to auctions, you may be nervous about making your first bid. All the same, it’s best to bid at the first opportunity you have to buy within your target price. When there is more than one lot of the same item, the first successful buyer can take the option to buy all of them at the same price - and if that happens you’ll have missed your chance to buy.
Bid clearly
Several hundred people attend every one of our auctions. In a big crowd, you don’t have to worry about any innocent gestures being misunderstood as a bid by the auctioneer. There’s much more danger that he won’t see a genuine bid. When you bid, raise your catalogue well above head height, and make sure the auctioneer can see your catalogue number so he can record the sale.
Do your research
Any regular customer at our auctions will tell you how important it is to know how much you’re prepared to pay when the bidding starts. Find out what the shops are charging for the equipment you plan to buy at auction. Then you’ll know exactly how much you’re saving when you make your bid.
Payment
All lots are subject to commission at 10 percent and V.A.T. Please read our terms and conditions. All goods must be paid and collected on the day of the sale. You will find that most methods of payment are acceptable.
Check it out
Once the hammer falls on your bid, you’re committed to buy. So be sure to arrive early enough to thoroughly examine the goods before the bidding starts. Check our list of catalogue amendments in the sale room to see if there are any changes to catalogue descriptions.
Prospective purchasers will be required to register at the registration desk to acquire a bidders number before bidding.
We will charge 10 percent commission on all purchases paid for with Cash Cheque up to Cheque Card Limit or Current Account Debit Card (Switch/Connect Delta/Solo etc). Credit Cards (Visa/Access/MasterCard). Payment for purchases must be made in full on the day. We do not accept business cheques.
Goods become the responsibility of the buyer on the fall of the hammer. All goods must be collected on the day of the sale. Goods not cleared by the end of the sale day will be subject to a pound 2 per lot, per day storage charge.
The Auctioneer’s decision is final and will be enforced by the management of We at all times. The Auctioneer’s Terms and Conditions are on display in the auction office.
Bidding slips are available from the office for your convenience and should only be used if you are unable to attend the auction. Slips should be completed in full and handed in to the office, along with a 10 percent deposit (Minimum of pound 20.00). In the case of unsuccessful bids, deposits are fully refundable.
