We are the latest addition to the ever-growing our community, which was founded in April 1999. With a hugely successful retail shop in London’s Mayfair and Europe’s largest web site for rare and second-hand books, our company has always endeavored to listen to the wishes of both collectors and dealers in the running of our projects. Our main aim has always been to facilitate buying and selling and play an important role in the British book trade.
Since our launch, the loudest and most repeated complaints we hear concern buying and selling at auction, particularly the charging of outrageous and ever rising commission rates. Many of our members suggested we start an auction business and so we looked hard at the facts.
One main reason for our offering such incredibly low commission rates is our economy of space. Accordingly, we request that lots are paid for and collected promptly. Storage charges will be made on any lots not paid for and collected within 5 days of the date of the sale.
We have our own packing and shipping service, for which the charges are modest. Please contact us for further details. Of course you may also arrange your own shipping and we are happy to assist when this is the case.
We have received the purchaser’s cleared funds, we will send payments to sellers no later than 28 days after the date of the sale.
