We use general auctions, garretts lane, for their lost and found/stolen and recovered goods. auctions are held every other monday viewing saturday prior to sale from 10am to 3pm miscellaneous auctions commence at: 11am. breaking for the vehicle auction at :2pm please note: all lots are sold subject to our conditions of sale. Copies of which are available from reception. all lots marked with an v are sold plus v.a.t at the current rate. all lots are subject to 12.5% buyers premium on top of the price bid. all auction charges are subject to v.a.t. At the current rate. explanatory notes to bidders. all lots are sold subject to our conditions of sale, a full copy of which is available from the registration desk and the office. all charges and deposits are in united kingdom pounds sterling regardless of what currency symbol your web browser is displaying. 1. Registration. prospective purchasers will be required to pay a £2.00 registration fee in order to register as a bidder and obtain a bidders number before bidding. 2. Deposits. bidders will be required to leave a £100.00 deposit on registering. A further 25% deposit will be required if purchases exceed the sum of £100.00. Deposits are fully refundable if no purchases are made 2a.deposits on vehicles. prospective vehicle buyers will be required to leave a £500.00 deposit on registering. All deposits are fully refundable if no purchases are made. 3. Viewing. previewing is saturday prior to sale between the hours of 10am and 3pm. Any prospective purchasers are advised to view goods thoroughly as there will be no recompense once the hammer has fallen {with the exception of note 5 below} 4. Catalogue descriptions. descriptions and dates in the catalogue are purely a statement of opinion and should not be taken as a guarantee. Purchasers should therefore satisfy themselves by previewing goods prior to the auction. 5. Warranted goods. all goods are sold as seen unless otherwise stated. Faults are not declared, therefore no goods can be returned. 6. Bidding slips. bidding slips are available in the office for your convenience and should only be used if you are unable to attend the auction. Slips should be completed in full and lodged in the office along with a 10% deposit {minimum of £100.00}. In the case of unsuccessful bids deposits are fully refundable. 7. Clearance of goods. lots may not be cleared during the sale. Clearance times are on monday from the end of the auction up until 6:30pm. Or on tuesday, from 10am to 4:30 pm {with the exception of the lunch hour}. Title may be lost on any goods not cleared by this time and a storage charge of £2.00 per lot per day will become applicable. Any vehicles not cleared in the allotted time will occur storage at £10 plus vat per lot, per day. 8. Damaged goods. although every effort will be made to ensure the safe keeping of goods, general auctions ltd. Will not be held responsible for any damage or loss of goods once the hammer has fallen. 9. Payments. all accounts must be settled by 4:30pm tuesday. Acceptable forms of payment are : cash, one cheque covered by a cheque guarantee card, bankers drafts and building society cheques made payable to : general auctions ltd. we also accept payments by visa, master cards,euro card and switch. Purchasers wishing to use credit card facilities will incur a surcharge of 2% on their invoice total.
