Tocotrienols |
| This raw rice bran whole food complex is highly beneficial for those who require a gentle boost to their nutritional protocol. Containing vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids necessary to enhance health. Tocotrienols are a part of the vitamin E complex and a rich source of B vitamins. The vitamin E complex: Until recently, Vitamin E was thought to be one nutrient, a type of TOCOPHEROL, called ALPHA-TOCOPHEROL. Several other types of TOCOPHEROL were discovered soon after, and many experts believed that this was what constituted the substance known as vitamin E. Recently, a new class of compounds related to the TOCOPHEROLS have been discovered, and these compounds are called TOCOTRIENOLS. It soon became apparent that there was no such thing, per se, as vitamin E. Vitamin E is in fact a complex of nutrients, much like there is no such thing as vitamin B, the B’s are a whole family of nutrients. At the present time, there are four named TOCOTRIENOLS. These are alpha, beta, gamma, and delta tocotrienol. A potential 20 other unnamed TOCOTRIENOLS have recently been discovered. This product contains alpha, beta, gamma, and delta tocotrienols. Vitamin E is of great nutritional importance. All body tissues, especially the adrenal and pituitary glands, have high concentrates of Vitamin E, but storage is mainly in the muscles, fatty tissues, and liver. The E complex helps to regulate correct functioning and health of cell membranes, regulate clotting factors within the blood, and maintain the structure and integrity of capiliary walls (Theriault et al 1999, 309-319). Usage: We recommend 1-2 dessertspoons a day. This is the most potent form of antioxidant vita-min E available. It contains 100% raw mechanically separated rice bran. Great to include in smoothies. Tocopherols are rather abundant in nature, tocotrienols are rare, hence we made this product available to you. References: Theriault A, Chao JT, Wang Q, Gapor A, Adeli K.
