Pewter Curassier Helmet |
| Pewter curassier helmet. Curassiers were mounted soldiers with firearms originating in 16th century europe. They were a transitional form of cavalry unit between medieval armoured knights and the latter-day cavalry. The name comes from the cuirass, the breastplate armour they used.Each helmet is a scale replica of an original helmet in that style. It comes with a wooden stand finished in a light teak varnish. The stand has a metal rod in the middle which has a rubber half ball shape mounted on top. The helmet sits on the rubber mount which is sized to fit the helmet. Each pewter item comes packaged individually. Detailed dimensions: height 14cms. |
