Celtic Knot Border Large Picture Frame |
Nickel-plated brass frame with solid wood back. Engraved border with Celtic knot detail in each corner. At the back there is a wood insert with a hinged stand which unclips to allow insertion of a picture behind the glass front. All wood has a burgundy, high gloss finish. Can be used for landscape or portrait pictures.
The Celts used knotwork to decorate many of their artifacts. To them, the intricate patterns woven into spirals and knots symbolise the continuity of life.
