All items are sold as is, and all sales are final. Determination of the age, condition, quality, authenticity, value, purported history or classification of all items offered and sold (regardless of what is said or written) is the sole responsibility of the buyer/purchaser and under no circumstances can anything be returned, except for the following reasons: - Warranties: When a special warranty is given on a certain item, it will be so noted on the receipt and is only valid for a period of exactly 14 days from the day sold, during which a return of the item will be accepted if it is accompanied by at least one written statement from a recognized expert in the field declaring the item is not as represented. - Glassware: If a piece of glassware is sold as perfect (no damages) and it is not, it may be returned before you leave the auction. No returns are accepted once the item leaves the auction site. This warranty does not apply to age classification, description or authenticity in any way.
Except as noted by the auctioneer (such as purchasing oriental rugs) goods may be claimed upon presentation of a paid receipt. Glassware must be wrapped and packed at holding area by purchaser.
Auctioneer is the sole determinant in a disputed bid and may re-offer the disputed article for sale. The auctioneer may withdraw any article from the sale or end the sale early if he feels that there is an absence of reasonable bidding. Auctioneer reserves the right to execute and accept absentee bids. Phone bidding is allowed only under prearranged conditions prior to the sale. Auction staff may, at the discretion of the auctioneer, bid competitively on items offered.
Payment terms: Cash or certified check unless personal check credit has been previously established. At his discretion, auctioneer reserves the right to hold merchandise until check used for purchase has cleared.
A Maine Sales Tax is added to the total of ALL purchases unless the Buyer has filed a valid resale certificate with the cashier prior to the beginning of auction.
A 12% Buyers premium will be added as part of the purchase price to all successful bids with a 2% discount for cash or good check.
Any articles purchased and not removed from auction premises immediately following the sale will be at the purchasers risk. If you have a problem with transportation, please let us know so we can assist you.
